眼看發新機在即，Samsung 決定先以現有的產品來預告一下自己接下來將力推的主打配色。今天他們宣佈會從 8 月 10 日起發售「波拉紫」色的 Galaxy S22（不包括 Plus 和 Ultra 型號），而其價格也將維持和現有的其它版本一樣。相較該型號原本就有的「薰衣草紫」配色，「波拉紫」主要的變化就是把相機區也由金色變成了紫色。而「波拉」其實就是韓語裡紫色的發音，所以不管是名字還是設計，新配色都是真正的紫上加紫了。

而選在 8 月 10 日推出，自然也是為了要配合新機發表（應該就是 Galaxy Z Flip 4 和 Z Fold 4 了），Samsung 已經明確表示「波拉紫」會出現在「今年晚些時候登場的超讚 Galaxy 新機」上。
