Windows 10 上的 IE 瀏覽器正式壽終正寢

不太會叫人懷念的集體回憶。

最後一個存續的家用版 Internet Explorer 瀏覽器，正式如約在今天 6 月 15 日釋出的 Windows 10 Semi Annual Channel 停止獲得支援，結束這 27 年的服務。對於網站兼容性的部分，大家可以利用微軟 Edge 的 IE 模式來替代，微軟已經承諾這功能最少會延續到 2029 年來讓網站主都能完成過渡。

微軟會在稍後的 Windows 更新中加入停用 IE 的指令，並會自動把使用者帶到 Edge 上進行網頁瀏覽活動。然而 Windows Server 2022 或其他獲得長期服務延長的舊版 OS，就仍然能繼續會有 IE 11 的支援，但這多是伺服器、商用機器所選用的。

Internet Explorer 瀏覽器是伴隨 Window 95 誕生的預載功能，也是當今大多數人接觸互聯網的首個工具，曾經在 2003 年以 95% 市佔率成為一方霸主。不過 IE 也引來不少爭議，包括曾被指預載到 Windows 的這安排是壟斷行為，同時後來發現有多個安全性問題。最終在 Google Chrome、Mozilla Firefox 的出現後就慢慢衰退，即使最新的 Edge 瀏覽器也採用最泛用的 Chromium 核心，也未能重返當年的榮耀。
