盡管 Pornhub 對紐約時報批評其監管違法內容不力的長文第一時間做出了整改回應，但他們的支付合作方 Mastercard 和 Visa 在經過調查後，還是做出了中止為 P 站（實際上是其背後的 MindGeek）提供服務的決定。文章作者 Nicholas Kristof 早些時候收到了來自 Mastercard 的聲明，稱其在過去幾日的調查後已經證實，Pornhub 上的確存在 Mastercard 禁止的違法內容。接下來他們會進一步深入調查，但跟 Pornhub 的支付合作「已於今日中止」。

Visa 後續發佈的聲明也差不多傳達了同樣的意思，而對於這一變動 Pornhub 方面表示了「極度的失望」。他們認為自己已經在以「用戶創作平台史上最大的力度」來進行補救，並搬出 Facebook 為例意在強調自己受到了不公平的對待。在聲明最後其也不忘指出，Mastercard 和 Visa 的決定會給成百上千以 Pornhub 為生的創作者帶來巨大的打擊。
