看到 Apple AirTag、Samsung SmartTag 先後加入，與 Tile 等固有品牌一起把物件定位器的市場做起來，Google 也終於想到要摻一腳。據開發者兼著名爆料人 Kuba Wojciechowski 所說，Google Nest 團隊正開發代號名為 Grogu 的產品，正正就是內建喇叭、支援 BLE 和 UWB 的定位裝置，不意外地會有 Android Fast Pair 功能，讓 Android 手機可以快速配對。

今天 Google Pixel 6 Pro 和 Pixel 7 Pro 都支援 UWB 模組，能夠提供有如 iPhone 和 Galaxy 手機般的精準方向指示，不過 Wojciechowski 補充指 Google 的尋物網絡將僅使用 BLE 就足夠定位，藉此也能讓更多裝置可以使用。另一邊廂，Google 似乎還在與晶片廠商合作讓更多晶片可以支援 Fast Pair，所以可以預計第三方品牌的物件定位器會因此變得多起來。具體的推出時間未明，不過 Wojciechowski 表示今年的 Google I/O 是蠻有機會的，畢竟 Google 也算很晚才加入市場，必須要加快步伐吧。
