Apple Magic Mouse 自 2009 年推出以來便無更新過，而同門的 Wireless Keyboard 則比它更舊呢。根據 FCC 所刊登的資料顯示，Apple 現正計劃推出其新版。當中，新一代 Magic Mouse 就名為 Magic Mouse 2，而 Wireless Keyboard 則沒有新名字。Magic Mouse 2 方面，由於它的底部已經沒了 AA 電池蓋的機關，而新 Wireless Keyboard 的底部亦已沒有那個能裝入電池，並同時為鍵盤提供斜角的圓筒結構，所以只能假設兩款新產品將會內置不可自行更換的鋰電池，以外接媒介來充電，以後電池退化就只能給錢 Apple 賺了。

此外，兩款產品均從 Bluetooth 2.0 升至 Bluetooth 4.2，效能理應更勝以前。不過由於文件並無顯示兩款產品正面設計，所以不知道它們的外觀會否有改變。我們也不清楚它們到底會在何時推出。
