隨著 Android 12 正式上線愈來愈近，Google 已經準備好 Android 12 的第三個 beta 測試版，帶來「捲動螢幕截圖」和「相機感應自動旋轉」等新功能。對開發者來說，這是平台穩定之前的最後一個測試版，意味著他們將可以測試 app 是否有相容問題，同時 Beta 3 也將包含最終的 Android 12 API 與官方 SDK。

在新功能的部份，首先來看看捲動螢幕截圖的部份。Google 表示大部份的 app 它都能直接支援，只要截圖之後，下面會出現一個寫著「Capture More（捕捉更多）」的按鍵，按下後它就會將目前能捲動的範圍全部截取下來，然後你可以再用裁切工具裁到適當的範圍。Google 表示他們還在「持續改進」捲動螢幕截圖，並且為更多種內的內容（例如網頁）提供更合適的截圖支援。換言之，到正式上線前，它可能還會有功能上的改動。

Beta 3 的第二個大功能是使用臉部辨識的強化自動旋轉。和過去是用重力感應器來決定顯示方向不同，這個新功能會利用前鏡頭來辨識你臉的朝向，來控制手機的旋轉。據 Google 的說法，對於躺在床上或沙發上使用手機的人來說，這應該會特別實用，用戶也不用擔心隱私外洩，因為整個功能都是在手機自身的硬體上實現，圖像永遠不會被儲存或離開手機。但也因為如此，強化自動旋轉只能在 Pixel 4 或更新的裝置上使用，較老的手機就只有獲得「轉動動畫與偵測」的改進，讓旋轉的延遲減少 25%。

另一個 Beta 3 上的新功能，是 Google 內建在裝置上的搜尋引擎「AppSearch」。開發者可以用它來建置 app 內的搜尋，或甚至如果願意開放的話，也可以跨 app 搜尋其他 app 上的內容。更進一步的，Google 還將維護一個中央的索引，有意參加的 app 可以透過系統本身的搜尋，找到 app 的內容。由於這個部份需要開發者參與，因此 Beta 3 上應該還無法看到它的應用。其他 Beta 3 的功能包括讓企業可以管理公務手機的相機和麥克風權限，以及遊戲模式 API 的改進，讓開發者可以更好地依照用戶所選的模式進行電力或性能上的管理。這會是今年稍晚將來到的遊戲儀表板的一部份，由 Android 提供一個可在遊戲時呼叫出中控所有相關功能的疊加介面。

一個備受期待，但仍然不見蹤影的功能，是 Android 12 的新視覺系統 Material You。不過隨著正式上線愈來愈接近，大部份的新功能都已經一一到位，也讓我們大概對於 Android 12 有了初步的概念。如果你等不及想嘗試的話，可以參加 Google 的 Beta 計畫，但一如往常的，Beta 版勢必會有不穩定之處，也別忘了在更新前先備份資料了。
