<Computex 2009: DSI All Alloy Mechanical Keyboard> Although recently there were some manufacturers claimed their keyboards to be alloy keyboard; however that usually means the keyboard frames were made from metal alloy, the keys were still in plastic. All alloy keyboards does exist, they however, as we report on this time last year, mostly reserved for industrial applications.
The all-alloy keyboards we saw last year were based on membrane switches. This year however, they made a leap into mechanical switches this year, and so does the prices. The black all-alloy mechanical keyboard, as pictured above, is asking for somewhere close to NT$10,000 per piece.
