周氏國際推出神話以及膠囊博士兩款8GB隨身碟新品

自Computex展之後，個人收到一些來信（或是透過其他同事），有些廠商反應他們有參展，但沒有遇到我們（我們也是希望能夠盡量都報導，不過畢竟沒辦法全掃），但也很希望讓我們報導。

我這邊看了一下，若能夠報的，我就盡量報了。不過呢？希望可以保持聯絡，也許之後哪時又有新品推出時，不要又錯過了。

其中周氏國際（CHOICEONLY）正是這樣的廠商之一，在昨天跟筆者聯絡上，他們提到他們也有參展，上圖正是他們所拍的（不知有去的讀者，有無經過那邊）並且推出兩款新品。

Computex 2008：WiMAX行不行(04)台灣為何不適合架設WiMAX

先前IDC提出觀察論點，結論是台灣不適合架設WiMAX，這個觀察不能說他對，但是也不能說是錯的，台灣的WiMAX網路能不能成還真的是有些微妙。

不過根據筆者對於WiMAX的認知，單純想藉由WiMAX架設網路的ISP大致上會吃到不少苦頭，由於WiMAX技術獨立使用有其難處，而且訪問的結果，幾乎所有的ISP都間接承認關鍵在於台灣網路之神-種花電信的手中，由於種花電信挾持仍數官方企業時立下的網路基礎，就如某固網廣告說的：不管哪家，最後還是接回種花的線路呦～♥

上稿者按：原本Computex的文章都結束了，包括大家現在看到的這篇以及之後還有第四篇，我以為出不來了，因為這位作者也在computex期間也倒了兩天。雖然在他倒的時候，我還是跟他聯絡，希望他能夠寫出來（我真是沒人性XD）。講歸講，但並沒有期待該文作者會交，所以認為Computex文章都結束了。不過這位作者很認真，即便是生病了，還是要把稿子生出來，真是太感動了，而且還比當初預設的三篇還要多一篇，感謝他。

稍微聊過WiMAX的543，接下來還是WiMAX，台灣目前WiMAX的主要推動單位是隸屬行政院國家資訊通信小組之下的行動台灣計畫辦公室（真是落落長...），簡稱M台灣辦公室，不過M台灣計畫不僅包括WiMAX，還包括其他如3G、Wi-Fi還有光纖網路等，利用多項的網路將台灣部屬成處處都能上網的網路島嶼，WiMAX的計畫其實早就開始實驗WiMAX以及推動，尤其是固定使用的802.16d固定制WiMAX，以台灣目前對無線通信法規，802.16d的使用不需通過複雜的執照核可。

Computex 2008：結尾與花絮

上周五晚上的時候，我們在某家涮涮鍋聚餐（慶祝撐過Computex展？，其實還有很塞的周二凌晨呀Orz）。老板問我們跑computex有啥感想，那時我只想說，為什麼肉可以無限供應，但飲料只能一杯......。

雖然個人對於Computex有一些話要談談，但感想比不上讀者「不笑的老K」來得中肯，個人引用他的話來做個本篇的開始：

總括來說，今次展覽的內容大致上就是今年 1～5 月所有產品的大雜燴，撇開 Hidden booth 以及 NDA 未到期的東西不算，今年的 Computex 還真是平淡啊。

　（不景氣的味道越來越濃厚了）

其實還是有新東西啦，只是不在大廠上，關心的程度就比較低。順帶一提，剛看了我們文章的排程，沒有意外的話，我這篇應該就是Computex的最末篇了（除非有其他同事今天要出）。所以就補個遺，並且聊一聊我看到的一些不成系統的東西吧。

Computex 2008：神基的強固筆電與消費性筆電

筆者在假日整理Computex的照片時，發現還有兩、三個新聞沒有寫到，想了一下，覺得神基(MiTAC)的強固筆電很有特色，再加上在台灣也比較少看到強固電筆，決定說明一下。不過這筆電在台灣應該是不會販售的（或是說，也許是特殊單位才有機會採買）。

在現場我對強固筆電有以下三個想法：

一、堅固：在高度90公分的情形下，在開機的狀態下摔，都不會有事。
二、適用惡劣環境：具備防塵防水特性。筆者曾問在海灘使用有沒有問題（我的數個電子產品曾因為進沙，出了不少狀況。），他說在沙漠使用都沒有問題。
三、比看起來輕：展示的筆電中，也有比較輕量級的行動設備，其實拿起來不會太重。

至於消費性筆電，也有提到省電以及比一般筆電堅固的特性，但在台也是沒有販售。

Computex 2008 is officially over. While organizing photos on the weekend, I realized that there are still
some interesting news that I forgot to share with you on the weekend. Military-grade notebook is not something we commonly see, so I thought this super tough notebook from Getac is worth mentioning.

Some impressions I got from this tough little guy are:

1. Durablility: Even if you drop it from 90 cm high, it will still function perfectly fine.

2. Environment-proof: Completely waterprrof and dustproof. Need to go in the desert? No problem!

3. Lightweight: It is lighter than it looks.

This rugged tablet PC and Getac's other laptop products are currently not on sale in Taiwan.

看輕省筆電看到快要吐了嗎？沒關係，Annti來當壓垮駱駝的最後一發催吐劑。

這次的Computex，輕省筆電真是當紅炸子「機」，不管有名沒名、大廠小廠，通通都來參一腳，這次Annti又看到一家名為AIRIS的廠商的輕省筆電。

Computex 2008：華碩的概念性人機介面－Virtual to Real

這個產品是在華碩攤位上看到的，仍然概念性居多。

它的名稱叫做「Virtual to Real」，是一種人機介面，簡單說就是要加強使用者與機器間的互動，而不要經過太多的學習。雖然現場是透過觸控方式來操作產品，但是並不代表非得用操控，只要能增強互動性與操作門檻，不排除用語音來下指令。

由於Annti的天份有限，無法完全理解華碩PM想傳達給個人的話，只有理解上述的部份，希望華碩未來的產品都真能像Virtual to Real一樣，人機互動性強且學習門檻低。

This conceptual product is from ASUS, called 'Virtual to Real'. Although we did not fully comprehend the full idea that ASUS's PM trying to convey to us; however, here is what we have understood: it's a human-machine interface designed to enhance the interactions between user and machine without the steep learning curve. Although the demonstration unit we saw is operated by touch-screen, we have been told, the concept is not limited to physical operation. Voice operation, or any other means that can enhance interactions and reduces barriers, will be considered.

Computex 2008：光學條碼之火車快飛

~~RFID~~光學條碼這東西其實已經發展得相當成熟，或許跟消費性電子沒有直接關係，相較於輕省筆電而言，在這次Computex所引起的注目並不多，但是這個技術在物流、生產線與庫存等各管理領域，扮演著極重要的角色。（感謝emiljou指正）

正經的話說完了。Annti在一家叫做Zebex的攤位看到這輛火車，雖然個人不是鐵道迷，還是被吸引過去看看。

<Computex 2008: Barcode Train>
Barcode scanners and barcode technologies have been around for quite sometime. They played very important roles in modern logistics, production and inventory control. However, compared to consumer-oriented products like ultra-portables, barcode technologies did not get much of attention from the crowd. Never the less, we came across a barcode scanner manufacturer, Zebex Industries, who sure knew how to draw attention with their hobby train carrying barcodes through series of beeping barcode scanners.

Computex 2008：信億與技嘉的RAMDisk

RAMDisk，這項技術已經不是新鮮事兒，而技嘉在前幾年也推出了個名為"i-RAM"的產品，可惜只能支援DDR1。在這次的Computex會場，Annti看到一家叫信億（ACard）的廠商擺出了與i-RAM同類型的產品，最大的特點就是可以支援DDR2囉。

RAMDisk is not a new technology. In fact, Gigabyte released a product called "i-RAM" a few years back, but it only supports DDR1. We saw a company called ACard displaying a similar product to i-RAM, but now supporting DDR2. Even better, it comes in 5.25" format.

Speaking of Gigabyte, we spotted i-RAM and a 5.25" GO-RAMDisk at their booth right before the opening of Computex, and we thought those were for DDR2. However, we got quite disappointed later when we found out that they are still for DDR400.

看到以上的圖片，目光很難不被畫面中的Wii吸引，這次Annti當然不是要報Wii，不然又要被唸~~"蘋科技"~~"任科技"囉XDD，主角其實是圖片上方的白色小盒子。
