<Computex 2009: Some News about Ubuntu>
On the 4th of June, Canonical invited more than a dozen of press media for something about Ubuntu. Quite frankly, it's the kind of occasion that we would be eager to attend. For starter, we pretty much knew what will be said, since we care about Ubuntu and constantly monitor for its latest development. On top of that, we knew that in most cases, what will be said usually set from global or Asia perspectives; rarely will there be anything Taiwan specific content that might interest us.
In short, nothing other than expressing the determination of trying to run and manage, which is good. However, if someone can tell us something about any tangible plans about dealing with ARM, who might be the future business partners and etc., then we will feel grateful to the helpful staffs at Canonical. However, in the end, still nothing.
Quite frankly we would rather hope for the chance to invite the technical staffs to our HQ to talk about their stories at work, or someone from the vendor to talk about the issues with promoting Ubuntu in Taiwan, something they wouldn't be talking about in the press conference.
