Computex 2011：技嘉 GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD 主機板

Intel Z68 的 Smart Response 技術，說穿了，就像 Seagate Momentus XT（Hybrid HDD）的 Intel 版，技嘉是台灣首家推出搭載 Smart Response 技術主機板的廠商，這塊主機版型號為 GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD（只是不知道會到rev多少版），在 Computex 現場也有展示。

Smart Response 簡單說就是把插在主機板的 SSD 模組當硬碟的快取（想到好幾年前的 Turbo Memory，也是類似效果），好提昇機械式硬碟的表現，筆者在威剛攤位也有看到他們家 mSATA SSD 模組，不過現場人員表示，此模組目前並沒有零售，而是走 Bundle 路線，至於跟哪家廠商搭售，自然就是那幾家搭載 Smart Response 的 Z68 主機板廠商。

Gigabyte is the first manufacturer from Taiwan to incorporate the new Intel Smart Response technology into their new line of motherboards called the GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD. We got a fresh look at Computex this year.

Smart response is like the motherboard version of the Seagate Momentus XT hybrid HDD. Simply put, it's got an SSD module on the board to serve as cache for hard drives (this reminds us of Turbo Memory from years ago) to boost the performance of mechanical hard drives. We just saw an mSATA SSD module at the Apacer booth but that particular module will not hit the retail market. Instead, it is bundled to whichever motherboard that comes equipped with the Smart Response Z68 technology.
