小薑雜談：24 年來的各種 Windows 包裝

這就是一切的開始，第一代的 Windows 包裝！從圖片可以看出，那時還是 5.25" 軟碟的時代，畫面...實在有點令人慘不忍睹呢。貼紙上寫著「特別優惠，隨機附贈 Windows Write（今天的 Wordpad）和 Windows Paint（小畫家）」這兩個軟體也是陪了我們 24 年。

Windows 2.0 首度提出了視窗可以重疊的概念（1.0 只允許並排的視窗），那時的商標也改成和今天一樣的樣子了。到這個時候為止，Windows 的使用者還是極少數，也僅有少數的公司願意開發專門在 Windows 裡跑的程式。

Windows 3.0（左圖）和 Windows 3.1（右圖）是 Windows 首度有能力打入主流市場。當時的 Windows 其實仍然是在 MSDOS 底下跑的一個程式，但這時專門設計在 Windows 底下跑的程式已經多到很多人就是一開機就進 Windows，從來不知道還有個 MSDOS 的存在。這種轉變對 Windows 95 的成功是至關重要的。Windows 3.1 的盒裝（和歡迎畫面）是 Windows 旗的初登場，不過這個字型實在有夠怪的 = =a。

然後就是 Windows 95 啦！這個字型，這種命名方式，都對軟體產業產生了深遠的影響。Windows 95 本身是從 16bit 到 32bit 過渡的起始點，也是 Windows 首度以「作業系統」的身份存在（之前都是在 MSDOS 底下跑的軟體）。但為了和 MSDOS 100% 兼容，Windows 95 也做出了很多犧牲 -- 不知大家還記不記得 8.3 檔名是什麼？

Windows NT 則是第一個全 32 bit 的系統，自 Windows 2000 以降的所有近代 Windows 都是以這個版本為基礎。

左邊的盒子帶來的都是美好的回憶，右邊的盒子，則是一個接一個的惡夢 - -。Windows 98 算是 Windows 95 的小改版，雖然 Windows 95 的最後幾個 Update 都有綁 Active Desktop 和 IE，但我好像是到了 Windows 98 才第一次碰上 Active Desktop 的。這大概是 Windows 98 最大的敗筆吧(攤)。拿掉 Active Desktop 後，Windows SE 相當的不錯...特別是和它右邊那個東西比起來。嗯，右邊那盒就不介紹了吧？

其實以時間順序來說，Windows 2000 應該夾在上面那兩盒的中間，但事實上 Windows 2000 好像比較應該和 Windows XP 放一起，對吧？Windows XP 在各方面都是如此大的進步，但盒裝卻無比的低調。果然是低調的比較長命啊 XD。

Windows Vista。老實說 Vista 的盒裝設計沒什麼不好，爛的是裡面裝的東西啊...

照著盒裝設愈簡單，作業系統賣愈好的歷史趨勢，Windows 7 很有希望啊 XD。當然，今天就是 Windows 7 正式發表的日子了。已經有的人請繼續支持，沒用過的人一定要試試看！從今天開始，就是 Windows 7 的時代囉！

95是4.0
98是4.x
me是4.XXX

XP是5.0
Vista 是6.0
7是6.x

Win 2K pro. 5.0 XP 5.1的說法我也聽過。

但當時Win 2K Pro.是NT團隊開發的，
他是要接NT 4.0 Workstation，
所以應算NT 5.0，
Win2K Pro當時是想打Sun工作站市場，
應不算在End User的桌面系統中。

但隨著工作站與桌機界線越來越模糊，
之後NT團隊從2003後就只出Server版，
Pro.版(工作站版)就此成絕響。

順序應是98->me->XP，
XP的核心與Win 2K Pro.是不同的。

這裡誤很大...
其實win 3.1就已經有用到32bit增強模式，所以應該算16bit->32bit的開始。
真正使用32bit的PC作業系統，應該是IBM跟ms開發的OS/2吧？
第一個直接開進圖形介面的是win95，但骨子裡還是DOS。

win95/98/ME都還是DOS為基礎的，Win NT系列才是不同的核心。
win NT 3.5 (跟IBM鬧翻後出的？可惜太龜...), 4.0 (這還蠻穩的，相對於95 XD)-> Win 2000 (NT 5.0?), XP (NT 5.1?), 2003(??)這才是一個系列的。
至於失敗的vista跟剛出的win7就有待網友補充。

我是從Win 3.1開始玩的，目前玩到XP而已。Vista有正版但不想灌，7沒碰過。
當年WinME還有推出校園版，學生價250$。當時我也買了一塊從98SE2升級過去
很快就超級後悔 XD

隔沒多久XP就出來了，真是謝天謝地…
