麻省理工學院開發6dot盲文標籤試驗機型

麻省理工學院的學生，最近推出了一種新的盲文標籤 / 印表機實驗機型，名為6dot。雖然6dot已不是第一款盲文印表機，但該研究組的模式比現有機型要更先進，更容易使用。為了失明及視障人士所設計，這台機器可以掛在脖子上，有6個按鈕，每個按鈕對應一個盲文字元，可以快速準確地打字，包括縮寫的文字。

印表機的內部處理器可儲存多達16個字元，可以在標籤上「輸出」字母，這樣使用者就可以很容易辨別出居家用品，如藥物，罐頭等。雖然這台機器仍然處於試驗階段，但很有可能以200美元（約台幣6,492元）的低價進入市場。
