我在 ZDNet 的另一篇文章的讀者意見 (p.s., 我平常是用 Windows XP on PC, Fedora 10 on PC and Moblin v2 on Menlow):筆電就是要 Windows, Eee PC 或 OLPC 已經證明過了, 不可能成功的, General purpose 的 Linux 對 外行用戶沒有吸引力, 是 Intel, 或是 ARM 的 platform 都一樣, 除非 BOM price 降到 US$199, 或是 US$99, 想要 Smartbook 像 Smartphone (iPhone, HTC, Palm Pre or Blackberry) 一樣的價格, 不是電信商貼錢貼到死, 就是要能接電話, 但是誰要一個 5吋以上畫面的電話? (大家口袋中已經有一支Smartphone 或 Feature phone了) Smartbook 最多是成為 Thin Client 的代用品, 本來是 Java terminal 的, 改成 Android terminal 而已, Smartbook 要能活, 一定是有專門用途的設計, 如 電子書, 買家才不會 care 是否是Linux, 不然就和 Microsoft 合作出 Windows for ARM. 然後等 Office for ARM 吧 不然用 Windows CE 也可以充數一下 Android 不是沒機會, 只是時候未到, 沒準備好
這回覆中肯，我也贊同。有電子書之類的易攜型專門用途應用才能真的能夠拓展Smartbook的市場
樓上這位，明明Linux一樣可以辦到這些需求，不知是故意忽略這個事實，還是你中ms毒太深了...
"樓上這位" 應該是指我吧...我平常在公司開發的都是Linux上的系統軟體與應用程式，主要工作主機也是灌Linux，大部分的任務都可以在Linux上完成，如果可以的話我也想跟大家說全部用Linux阿。我倒想請問您(johnchao)，您平常生活與工作上都是完全100%用Linux系統完成全部工作嗎？即使人家要求您用MS的東西來完成他要你做的東西？

我平常在公司開發的都是Linux上的系統軟體與應用程式，主要工作主機也是灌Linux，大部分的任務都可以在Linux上完成，如果可以的話我也想跟大家說全部用Linux阿。
我倒想請問您(johnchao)，您平常生活與工作上都是完全100%用Linux系統完成全部工作嗎？
