圖中右邊有一隻手，手中所握的產品，就是那款滑鼠了，但說它是滑鼠，其實個人也覺得不算理想。因為就使用型態來說，與傳統滑鼠有所不同。其實那位先生，正用這個產品像拿Wii手把一樣，利用動作感應的方式來打電動。

<Computex 2009: Multi-Functional Air Mouse from Ione>
The multi-functional air 'mouse' is something very different from the conventional mouse as we know. Due to its fairly unconventional usage, we are not even sure if calling it a 'mouse' is appropriate term for this pointing device. As illustrated in the photo above, the gentleman holding the device is using it as a motion sensor to play video game.

目前廠商所展的，還沒有整個完成，據廠商所提的，有三種機能：
一、配合軟體，可以拿來打電動
二、可以拿來做簡報
三、變成滑鼠來使用，可以在空中控制游標。類似像filco這款產品。

不過廠商目前所展示的產品，還沒有完成，所以一與二、三的功能，要用不同的接收器來完成。廠商表示，之後會把整個相關機能整合起來。

According to the manufacturer, this air 'mouse' will provide three different usage modes:
1. as a game controller for game playing
2. as a remote control unit for slide presentation
3. as a mouse to control cursor movement in the mid-air, similar to this product from filco.
The demonstration unit displayed by the manufacturer is an unfinished engineering sample, so separate receiver units have to be used for each of the first, second and third usage mode. We have been told the final finished product would have one integrated receiver unit to replace all three receivers.

之所以個人認為說是滑鼠並不是很恰當的原因，是因為他不能於桌面上使用。

當我把這個空中、桌面兩用滑鼠概念提出來的時候，廠商就拿出另一款滑鼠，其實技術上OK，只要把這個G-Sensor放進去，就可以達到我所說的要求。

他也提到，雖然在現場展示只有這三樣主要功能，但事實上，根據客戶不同的需求，已經有十幾種不同的型態存在，最主要的，是各方的買家，對於按鍵需求的定義不同，甚至還提到有醫療單位與他們購買這樣的產品。

One other reason we felt it's inappropriate to call it a 'mouse' is the fact that this 'mouse' can not be operated on desktop. So when we mentioned this dilemma to the manufacturer, the manufacturer's representative pull out another 'mouse' equipped with a G-force sensor, and demonstrated for fact that it is possible for it to be used both in air and on desktop.

The representative also mentioned that, although the demonstration unit only has the three main usage modes, depend on customers' application requirements, there are more than a dozen of different types exist, even some for medical applications.
