台灣沒有是因為台灣的公務員和官員目光短淺，在無線訊號方面，搞一個半殘的DVB-T，在歐洲國家的DVB-T，一個頻段就可以放一個1080pFullHD或4-8個SD的節目，這也是當初DVB-T的目標，而台灣DVB-T一個頻段的容量就在不知道那一個白痴官員的堅持之下硬是比人家小了近1/3，1080pFullHD無望!在有線訊號方面，也不在最初就統一標準，使得各家有線業者各自為政，有的業者用DVB-C，有的業者用ATSC，在收費機制方面更是複雜，如果這時才想要統一標準，對己投入大量資金建設的業者一定會反彈，這些業者那家不是財團，就目前政府一看到財團就腿軟的情況，到最後一定無疾而終，不管怎樣都使用者倒楣
