直覺上，應該是末端機房架設 WiMAX 基地台，然後涵蓋範圍內的所有用戶就都可以使用內建 WiMAX 的裝置上網，也就是以 WiMAX 真正取代 Last-mile 佈線。 然而根據會場人員解釋，他們是建議以大樓為單位設置 WiMAX 室外接收端（基地台），然後再以傳統網路線分接至各樓層，各層有無線需要者再另外設置 802.11g AP。 為什麼這麼麻煩？據說這樣才能「確保」所有人的連線品質；言下之意似乎是「在鋼筋水泥結構體內，WiMAX 可能無法接收訊號」，這聽起來蠻不合理的。 我想，我們消費者需要的是一份真正完整客觀的實地測試報告。
