我的看法是感覺真的墮落了,本來OLPC不考慮商業軟體授權費而使用Linux,但主辦人與某軟體公司妥協之下才裝Xp精簡版.但價格將不會達到一百美元,有可能達到兩百美元以上.並且在低價電腦逐漸被其他廠商重視之下,逐漸大量推出趨近於同價的更好,更實用的產品,結論是OLPC已經選錯方向,不但無法達到縮減數位落差之目標,與每童一機的目的,反而因定位不明,早期開發人員逐漸出走的情況下,即將有可能走向邊緣化的命運.我認為要達到一百美元以下電腦最好的方法就是發展USB開機隨身碟以及網路作業系統(WebOS),才能達到這種目標.
