關於蘋果收購 PA Semi 的更多細節...

這當眾人還不太能理解蘋果買 PA Semi 究竟是為了哪一項產品的發展時，EETimes 似乎有點譜了的樣子。

根據他們旁敲側擊的了解，早在蘋果決定買下 PA Semi 之前，就已經持有 PA Semi 的股份；而蘋果近來有請 PA Semi 幫他們打造一款新的處理器，可是礙於 PA Semi 的資金不夠雄厚，推不動這個新產品的開發計畫，也因此身為股東之一的蘋果，最終才會決定把 PA Semi 買下來自己養。

至於這處理器針對的究竟是哪一個產品，EETimes 方面認為或許是為了集 Mac、iPod、iPhone 大成的 MID 一台，也就是說，這顆處理器的內功，很大一部份是要能夠處理影音內容的串流播放，甚至跟將來的 4G 網路有關也不一定。

不過 EETimes 最終對這東西的發展時程倒是沒有太樂觀，預計至少要等個好幾年才會正式現身的樣子！不過至少各位蘋果的愛用者們可以早一點開始存錢。
