Penryn 版 iMac 採用的不是 Montevina 平台喔！

話說昨天推出的 Penryn 版 iMac 當中，那台最高階、採用時脈在 3.06 GHz iMac 所採用的處理器，到底是不是 Intel 的那顆 Core 2 Duo Extreme X9100，有人認為是，不過他們似乎是猜錯了！

這顆原來是 Intel 幫蘋果從 2.80 GHz 某顆 Penryn 超頻過來的，也就是說，Intel 再度幫水果特調了一顆 CPU。

而既然不是採用了 X9100 這顆晶片，照道理來說，也就表示 iMac 搭載的晶片組應該就不屬於 Montevina 這個 Centrino 2 的行動運算平台。那真相究竟是？

原來整個架構仍然是採用前一代的 Santa Rosa，只不過是讓 FSB 的時脈跑到了 1066MHz，耗電功率也是略高的 55 瓦，而不是採用 Montevina 平台該有的 44 瓦。

所以整個看起來，蘋果就是要跟別人不一樣的樣子。
