已經有數個國家（巴西、阿根廷、烏拉圭、奈及利亞、利比亞、巴基斯坦、泰國和巴勒斯坦）持續下訂，尼老 Nicholas Negroponte 所打造、延滯一段時間的 OLPC 推出的時程終於要決定了。

根據美聯社（AP）的報導指出，百元筆記型電腦於今年二月由廣達電腦完成測試的動作，並在七月左右完成數百萬台出貨的動作。

尼老接受採訪實說道「每當有人懷疑或輕蔑百元筆電、認為孩子們應該拿目前正規的電腦的時候，我都只能微笑以對；但相信當大家拿到 OLPC 時，一定會愛不釋手。」

好樣的尼老，就是七月我們等著囉！

我覺得 OLPC 可以考慮一種運作模式: 以接受贊助的方式在
一般市面販售此電腦. 例如一台賣 150 美金, 其中的 50 美
金是用來贊助這個計劃.. 這樣一來, 那些政府們所要買的單
就少了一些.

再者, 我覺得這機器倒也挺符合 Think Client 的理念的, 配
個 VNC 或 Windows Terminal Client 就可以在企業環境使用. (或者搭配純 Web Application 使用) 向企業銷售此
電腦並將收益來貼補此計劃也是一個好辦法.
