有關Wiimote的紅外線感應，可以參考2007/3月32期電腦王的P.112~115，裡面有Wiimote的分解圖和說明。簡單的解釋感應方式，就是Wii的sensor bar的兩端各有5個IR LED，Wiimote有鏡頭可以接收IR，藉由IR來源方向和光源密集度來判斷所指的方向。
