我們一直以來都只盯著 PS3 惡名昭彰的售價不放（台灣預購價高達 24680），反倒忘了就算如此，Sony 仍然是賠錢在賣的。究竟賠多少呢？跟據 iSupply 的計算，「高階版（有 WiFi 和 60G 硬碟的那種）」每賣出一台，Sony 就要賠 241.35 美元（7910 台幣），而低階版更可怕，每賣一台就要賠出去驚人的 306.85 美元（10,056 台幣）。

相較之下，微軟每賣一台 XBOX 360 只虧 75.70 美元（2481 台幣），而任天堂更是一路笑著去銀行提錢 -- 每台賣出去的 Wii 不僅不賠錢，還有得賺。簡單地說，Sony 每賣出去一台 PS3 所賠的錢，和一台競爭產品的售價相當。這讓我們不禁為 Sony 慶幸了一下，要不是因為生產進度跟不上，Sony 今年年末採購季還會損失得更慘重啊！
