這也是出於無奈吧，在物理運作下，硬碟這類的周邊一直是拖慢系統的兇手之一。傳統的硬碟速度提升不外乎是轉速還有自帶Buffer，不過效果可能就沒像CPU,顯示卡之類的明顯；不過類似磁碟陣列這些技術，算是個解決方案。混合式硬碟感覺是不錯的改變。
