Core 2 Duo iMac 採用 802.11n 網路卡！

根據一位叫做 Peace 的玩家在新 20 吋 iMac 上跑 Vista （Boot Camp）的同時，發現了硬體目錄中，將網路卡辨識為 Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter 這樣東西。這代表啥？802.11n 為下一代 WiFi 無線網路標準，目前還是處於草案的階段，他能夠提供近 0.25 英哩（400 公尺）的傳輸範圍，並且速度上比起 802.11a/b/g 更是快上了 10~50 倍。

所以，如果 Windows 硬體辨識沒出錯，那水果牌把未定案的無線標準相關硬體加到電腦中，確實是很大膽的一步。而 iTV 也傳出可能支援 802.11n，或許會讓這整件事變的理所當然。正當 iTV 打著將高畫質影像和電腦串流的招牌時，新的、更快的無線傳輸規格，自然是必要的選擇。
