這裡所謂的『使用者』的該指的是，『使用』這套DRM的廠商吧？跟一般『消費者』應該沒多大關係？不過這些本意是在保障廠商與線上產品購買者的DRM，不應該做過頭讓消費者覺得盜版方便又不用付錢，反而購買正版的卻處處受限像是一種處罰。這樣子的產品，怎麼能夠讓消費者心甘情願的掏出錢來購買呢？
