Corel 宣佈收購 InterVideo

Corel宣佈以約60億台幣收購多媒體軟體公司InterVideo。
這個交易包含早先被InterVideo合併的友立資訊 (Ulead Systems, Inc.)，這次的合併會造就 Corel 匯聚了相當多重量級多媒體及美工軟體。

Corel 在2004年曾收購 Jasc ，獲得 Paint Shop Pro、Paint Shop Pro Studio和 Paint Shop Photo Album等重要產品，這次收購更取得 DVD 撥放軟體龍頭WinDVD 及 Ulead 的影像處理軟體 PhotoImpact、影片剪輯軟體 VideoStudio及 DVD 製作軟體 DVD Movie Factory，加上本身著名的 CorelDRAW 及 Corel Painter，如此多樣性的產品未來可能皆因為同質性與市場考量，會有接續存廢的問題。

Corel的經營者Vetcor Capital投資相當多美股上市軟體公司，包括Corel、Real Network等著名企業，這類型的投資公司會將Corel及InterVideo這兩間公司帶領到那種境界，值得進一步觀察。

看樣子準備看Adobe 大戰 Corel了
另外Autodesk也是家實力很強的軟體公司
雖然跟Adobe和Corel的方向稍有不同.....

真是出乎意料, 本來以為會是SONIC, COREL本來就沒有影音產品線, 比較不能理解

哇勒,,,那訊連會有危機嗎,,不過,,intervideo的營運績效一向不好,,來台灣併友立及設立人才庫,,,,算是對的方向,,台灣的智慧人力算便宜的
