對我們來說，iPod Hi-Fi 的推出「嗆聲」意義大於產品本身，這玩意的出現無疑宣告蘋果將要大舉進攻 iPod 周邊配備市場（當然也不能忽略小配角 iPod 皮夾克）。我們在蘋果總部，官方為我們裝置的各種模擬場合中進行試聽，發現效果真如賈伯斯所說的好。

從另一方面來說，iPod HiFi 的出現讓我們聯想到，蘋果真的是想立足消費性電子市場的公司，iPod HiFi 無疑是一種數位家電，大家再直覺想想，你拿著六顆 D 型電池，裝進這個立體聲音響，在灑滿陽光的海灘上讓眾人隨著音樂恣意舞動著，怎麼想都不會想到電腦是吧，想不出來嗎？再來看看以下現場圖片囉：
