Google想要在舊金山架設WiFi無線網路

Google想要全面投入WiFi網路發展的消息我們多少都已經聽說過，而記者 Om Malik 證實，Google 參加了一項以免費提供舊金山全市300kbps的WiFi無線上網為主題的競標活動。這並不表示Google一定會在舊金山提供這項服務，因為他們還需要得到舊金山官方的同意，不過Google表示，如果他們得了標，他們計畫提供其它的ISP大規模的連結（能提供高網速服務給Google用戶的ISP）。他們也會針對在地用戶需要Google提供的服務項目做調查（就像地區性的廣告）。我們還需要提醒你遍及全市的WiFi無線網路（假設會發生）代表全市都可使用WiFi手機這件事嗎？
