Dopod828外觀上為鐵灰色外殼，頗具陽剛味，與818一樣採美背設計(僅有電池蓋、相機和天線孔)。操控按鈕為8向方向鍵，使用選單更為方便，SD/SDIO插槽置於機身上方(隨機附上SDIO WiFi卡)，mini USB 插槽與耳機孔(2.5mm )建置於底部。機身並搭載130萬畫素相機，可惜效果不甚理想。Dopod828內建128 MB記憶體，執行Windows Mobile 作業系統相當順利。相較於818，828可說是更上層樓之作。
