Wired News報導，在交流式電子設備的快速成長之下，電腦把黑板趕出教室了，也就是說有一天，處罰學生清理板擦會成為過去式。沒錯，在美國已經有超過十五萬個教室在使用這個智慧型黑板Smart Boards，在這個世界上，更有其他七十五個國家也把這個放進他們的教室裡。這個智慧型黑板Smart Boards能讓學生和老師分享作業、瀏覽網頁、甚至可以透過手指頭，像筆一樣的更改影片。根據所有的資料顯示，此裝置的市場非常受歡迎，有許多的公司在這個圈子裡，不過這間Smart Technologies公司，擁有60%的市場占有率就是了。
